Alien/Predator
Two franchises that were separate for seventeen years, crossed over twice, and then went back to being separate. This page interleaves them, which is the only arrangement in which the two crossover films sit where they belong - between the two runs they were made out of.
How to read this table
Everything is in the order it came out, oldest first. The columns:
- Air date — when the entry was first released. Where a page carries something first seen outside the United States, that is the date used, and the notes under the table say so.
- Sch — schedule order, which breaks a tie within a single day. On a night two of these went out, the earlier slot comes first - and a streaming episode that dropped after midnight comes before a programme broadcast that evening.
- Verse — which strand of the franchise a row belongs to - this page carries ALIEN, AVP and PREDATOR. It is hidden on narrow screens.
- Notes — click Notes ... on any row for the episode's links and, where there is one, an explanation of the cross-over.
- Watch — where you can watch that entry, in your own country. The badges link to the episode itself rather than to the service's front page. On a narrow screen this column is hidden - tap Notes ... on a row to see the same thing.
- Watched — tick a box and it is remembered in this browser. Turn syncing on in Preferences and it follows you between devices, with no account and no email address. An episode listed on more than one franchise is ticked on all of them at once.
Three icons can appear in the Notes cell, and they are the reason this site bothers with release order at all:
Story impact — this episode references another series in the franchise.
Story arc — it is part of a story running across several series.
Guest star — a character from another series appears in it.
In the Watch column, the shape of a badge is the difference between watching something now and paying for it again:
- P+ Solid — included with a subscription to that service.
- P+ Outlined — there to rent or buy.
- YT Ringed — free to watch, on the studio's own channel. Shorts and trailers only, and checked by hand about once a year rather than weekly.
Your country is worked out from your connection and can be changed in Preferences. It is a snapshot rather than a live check, so treat it as a strong hint rather than a promise — services add and drop things constantly.

About this order
What's on this list
Every Alien and Predator film from 1979 to 2025, both Alien vs. Predator films, the twenty-one Alien shorts, the seven-part Alien: Isolation digital series, and all eight episodes of Alien: Earth.
Read the Verse column here
This is one of six pages on the site where it does real work. ALIEN, PREDATOR and AVP are three separate strands, and the column is the quickest way to see which of them a row belongs to - because in release order they alternate. Predator lands between Aliens and Alien3; Predators falls between Alien Resurrection and Prometheus.
The digital series is a genuine prequel
Alien: Isolation's seven parts have Samuels recruiting Amanda Ripley on the news that the Nostromo's flight recorder has been found, Amanda recovering it and finding the data corrupted, and Marlow describing the same derelict ship and its cargo of eggs that the Nostromo stumbled on fifteen years earlier. Four rows on this page are marked, and all four are from this series - it reaches back into the first film more directly than any of the sequels do.
The shorts outnumber the films
Twenty-one of them, most from the 2019 anthology made for the fortieth anniversary. They are on the page in their release positions.
Two names, one page, and no strong claim about canon
The two AVP films are on this list because they were released, not because anybody maintains they fit. This is a release-order site: it records what came out and when, and leaves what counts to you.
Where to watch the shorts, and where the badges come from
Most of the shorts are free on YouTube, on the studio's own channels, and this page links twenty-one of them directly. Those badges are the ringed ones, and they mean something different from the rest of the column: free to anyone, no subscription and no rental.
They are also found differently. Everything else in the Watch column comes from an availability service that is re-asked every week. The free uploads were found by hand, because no such service indexes marketing films, and they are re-checked about once a year — an official upload either stays up for years or is pulled, which is not the way a streaming licence behaves.
Two caveats worth having. The links are recorded as available everywhere, which is what every one of them reported when it was checked, but a free upload can be region-blocked in ways that are hard to verify from one country. And the studio's flagship channel has quietly dropped most of this material over the years; what survives is mostly on the Alien Anthology channel and on the regional arms of the old 20th Century Fox channels, which is why a link may open a page whose description is in Portuguese or Indonesian even though the film itself is in English.
Seven shorts have no link, and each has a reason
Four have no official upload anywhere: Project Prometheus: Mission, Weyland Industries Testimonial, the Rick and Morty crossover promo, and Advent. Everything circulating for those is a fan re-upload.
The other three are more interesting, because something official exists and it is the wrong thing. Prometheus Transmission survives only as two Blu-ray excerpts, roughly a minute each, of a short that runs much longer. Phobos has a sneak peek of about a minute where the film itself runs three and a half. And Crew Messages is not one video at all but six separate character films, so linking any single one of them would misrepresent the row.
In all three cases a badge would take you somewhere plausible and wrong, which is worse than taking you nowhere. The specific video identifiers are recorded in the site's own data so nobody has to find them twice.
