Five films and one series that never quite touches them. Fifteen entries from June 2002 to December 2019.
How to read this table
Everything is in the order it came out, oldest first. The columns:
- Air date — when the entry was first released. Where a page carries something first seen outside the United States, that is the date used, and the notes under the table say so.
- Sch — schedule order, which breaks a tie within a single day. On a night two of these went out, the earlier slot comes first - and a streaming episode that dropped after midnight comes before a programme broadcast that evening.
- Notes — click Notes ... on any row for the episode's links and, where there is one, an explanation of the cross-over.
- Watch — where you can watch that entry, in your own country. The badges link to the episode itself rather than to the service's front page. On a narrow screen this column is hidden - tap Notes ... on a row to see the same thing.
- Watched — tick a box and it is remembered in this browser. Turn syncing on in Preferences and it follows you between devices, with no account and no email address. An episode listed on more than one franchise is ticked on all of them at once.
Three icons can appear in the Notes cell, and they are the reason this site bothers with release order at all:
Story impact — this episode references another series in the franchise.
Story arc — it is part of a story running across several series.
Guest star — a character from another series appears in it.
In the Watch column, the shape of a badge is the difference between watching something now and paying for it again:
- P+ Solid — included with a subscription to that service.
- P+ Outlined — there to rent or buy.
Your country is worked out from your connection and can be changed in Preferences. It is a snapshot rather than a live check, so treat it as a strong hint rather than a promise — services add and drop things constantly.

What's on this list
Every Bourne film — The Bourne Identity, Supremacy, Ultimatum, Legacy and Jason Bourne — and all ten episodes of Treadstone, the USA Network series that ran from September to December 2019.
Legacy is not a gap in the story, it is the same weeks from another desk
The Bourne Legacy came out five years after The Bourne Ultimatum and looks from its date like the next chapter. It is not. Its first fifteen minutes run alongside Ultimatum's back half: the film opens six weeks after Bourne's escape from Moscow, which is the same six weeks that put Ultimatum where it is, and the thing that sets its plot going is a colonel being told to contain the fallout from Pamela Landy exposing Treadstone and Blackbriar — the scene Ultimatum ends on. Landy, Vosen, Kramer and Hirsch all appear or are named.
Tony Gilroy, who wrote all four of the first films and directed this one, put it plainly: Ultimatum plays in the shadows of Legacy for the first fifteen minutes, and the two overlap.
So a reader following this page in order sees the fall of Blackbriar twice, once from inside and once from a room down the corridor. That is release order doing what it is for, not a fault in it.
Treadstone is in the same world and shares not one character with it
Treadstone's own credits say it is based on an organisation from the Bourne novels rather than on the films, and it keeps to that. Jason Bourne never appears. Neither does anybody else from the films — no character crosses in either direction, which is unusual enough on this site to be worth saying out loud.
It still belongs here, because it keeps reaching back. Its present-day strand follows Jason Bourne (2016) and its 1973 strand runs before The Bourne Identity, and six of its ten episodes turn on Blackbriar — the programme Bourne exposes at the end of The Bourne Ultimatum. Those six are marked on the list. Officers place themselves at the exposure, a senator is placed on the committee that held the hearings afterwards, and in the finale one of them is challenged for having taken the side of a rogue asset who is never named.
That is the whole of the connection, and it runs one way. Nothing in the five films depends on Treadstone, and it is watchable knowing none of them. It was cancelled in May 2020 with its own story unfinished.
Episode one is three weeks early, and that is not a mistake
Treadstone's pilot sits on 24 September 2019 and the second episode does not arrive until 22 October. USA showed the pilot as a special preview in September, formally premiered the series on 15 October, and then ran weekly from the 22nd. This site dates an entry to when an audience could first see it, so the preview is the date and the gap is real.
Do not check this against IMDb, which dates all ten episodes to 10 January 2020. That is the day the series went up on Prime Video outside America and is not the air date of any of them.
Two things that are not here
The Bourne Identity of 1988, the two-part ABC miniseries with Richard Chamberlain, is not a row. It is a separate adaptation of the same novel with no connection to these films — different studio, different rights, none of the same people. Its air dates are also unsettled: Wikipedia, IMDb's episode list and TheTVDB say 9 and 10 May 1988, while a wire report filed the day before it went out, IMDb's own release-date field and TMDB all say 8 and 9 May. Nothing written after the broadcast was found to settle it, so nothing here asserts either.
The Bourne Stuntacular is not a row either. It opened at Universal Orlando in 2020 with new footage of Julia Stiles as Nicky Parsons, so it is official and it is Bourne, but it has only ever played in a theme park. That is the same reason T2-3D is not on the Terminator list.
Home-video featurettes, the 2008 video game and the Covert-One films are all out too. The last of those are a different Robert Ludlum property and have nothing to do with Bourne.
What is still open
Nothing new has a date. Universal's rights lapsed and NBCUniversal bought the franchise back in August 2025; a film has been in development since, with Edward Berger attached and a script by Joe Barton, but it has no greenlight, no confirmed cast and no release date, so there is nothing to list yet.
Treadstone's own story was left unfinished. It ends on a cliffhanger, and the cancellation five months later never answered it.
